Baladin Super Floreale 750mls
Style: Belgian Style Tripel
Birrificio Baladin, Piozzo, Italy
Super Baladin takes inspiration from Abbey beers and interprets them with its own style. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the 9th century following the style of the Belgian abbey beers. It is similar to a Belgian triple. The twist with this beer is that an English yeast strain is used for primary fermentation. Afterwards, it is bottle-conditioned for two months using a Belgian strain.
Super Baladin Floreale is made by dry hopping the beer with Amarillo hops, along with adding an extremely late addition of hops to the boil. Super Baladin Floreale has sure plenty of hoppy scents - given by the generous use of a particular type of American hops called “Amarillo” - but it remains true to its Baladin identity and strikes a perfect balance with notes of caramel, dried fruit (just a hint) and the bitterness of the hops.
