Lulumi · Pay D'oc Pinot Noir 2021
13.0% ABV
The history of Vin de Pays d’Oc wines can be traced back to the 5th century when the Greeks planted the first vineyards near Narbonne. Along with parts of Provence, these are considered to be France’s oldest vineyards. A rich and natural combination of steep slopes and hilly peaks with vineyards, and “garrigue” vegetation and a proximity to the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyards benefit from long hours of sun, concentrating the aromas, and dry cool breezes to maintain freshness in the grapes.
Climate: Mediterranean; sunny and dry
Soil: Gravel and Clay
Farming: Sustainable
Grape: 100% Syrah
Vinification: 100% destemmed, 12-hour temperature-controlled maceration to extract the pale pink color and delicate aromas, the must is pressed, and the skins and seeds removed, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting: A beautiful pale pink color with bright pink reflections. Vibrant, fruit-driven, floral aromas with a palate full of strawberries and tropical fruits and a refreshing finish.
ABOUT THE WINERY
Lulumi wines are inspired by the French country lifestyle and the idea that in every bottle of wine, there is a story. The story is about adventure, the comfort of sharing a meal and spending precious time with friends and family. This is a love story… and the best love stories never end.

Founded in 2015 by Carrie and Philippe Marchal, who both worked in the wine business in New York City before moving to a tiny village in the middle of the farmlands and vineyards of France with their two daughters, Lucienne and Emilie. (Lulumi is a combination of the French nicknames for the girls, Lulu and Mimi)
